I'm 2 1/2 hours if your driving around 75-80mph on the turnpike. My house is litereally less than 5 minutes off the turnpike here in wpb.
the water park is so fun!! Now keep in mind it is no wet and wild. It is very small. That area you saw is pretty much it, and there is a lazy river and a little obstacle course for the older kids. And if your staying for few days there are a lot of cool kid friendly places we could go.
Yes I always get my hair cut and colored in Orlando. My friend Missy is a hair dresser and owns her own salon. It is like $100.00 cheaper than doing it here in WPB. So I always make my appointments around times I am visiting the family.
